Global cobalt reserves reached 7.2 million tons by the end of 2016, among which Kinshasa of Congo DRC owned 3.4 million tons, accounting for 47% — the largest proportion in the world. The rest was shared by countries as Australia and Cuba, with proportions of 14% and 7%.
