The security situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has been fragile for decades due to conflict. Armed groups still operate in certain areas of the country. But in the city of Beni, in the north-eastern part of the country, ex-combatants are receiving support from the UN peacekeeping mission in the DRC (MONUSCO) to start a whole new life.
